Building Valid Amazon Referral Links By ‘Hand’
I never use the referral links Amazon gives me when using the Amazon Products API [former ECS]. So I need to build my own. And in order to get the referral fee you need to include the tag=...-2[012]. Best way to do it is to encode any valid Amazon URL inside their redirection link. This way you referral tag is also hidden on the final page.
Registration is quick, painless and worth its weight in gold.
And this below is an example link:

In the next episodes I might share [for a couple of bucks :)] a script that can build links virtually to any place of the Amazon site Affiliates need to point to.

Amazon recently closed my affiliate account along with (apparently) everyone else who lives in North Carolina, USA. Fortunately I don’t actually live in NC, but I do need to re-open my account.

Yes, I have to appologize for that. My email account got hacked and everyone on my contact list got that email. Luckily there was nobody on the contact list who would fall for that. Originally I thought that you had done it because you and I were the only ones it was sent to. Then I realized it was the full contact list.
It is disturbing to get spam in your main email account sent from one of your alternate emails!
Anyway the positive side effect was that I was reminded of your site that I haven’t visited in a long time.
:) I imagined you got haxored as it was sent to yourself also along with several others.
