I really noticed this guy when I read a comment on a blog talking about a subject I covered a long time ago and will cover again: X-Robots-Tag! The comment really caught my eyes as Joost was calling the poor guy a stupid fuck.
In my opinion, you can be my homie, but if you call me a stupid fuck or disrespect me, I'm a bitchslap your sorry ass (hood-style :)). Some respect has to exist.
I've created a new plugin for ... well ... myself! :) Yeap it's for myself but ... funny thing is ... it's for your use. So, if you use it, I'll benefit from it :) Hehe ... got your attention. This is the only plugin available to unregistered subscribers! And the deed it does is very simple. Read the rest of this entry »
Twitter is somehow cool but long links get violated. There are many places where shorter links are favored over long ones. I needed a plugin to be able to append the post_ID to the subdomain of the blog. Eg: http://blog.5ubliminal.com/31 - click this link to see it.
I built a very simple plugin to resolve such tiny links to post permalinks. This only works for blogs installed on subdomains. I don't believe in folder installs and will not respect them in my plugins. Read the rest of this entry »
There are some blogs where one has a few posts and few comments (if any). Let's say you have 25 of them in one database. And each blog has about 13 tables by default. So in total ... there's a whooping 325 tables. OMFG?! This is indecent even if, maybe MySQL is cool with it. Read the rest of this entry »
For the past few months I noticed something really fked up about Hostgator. I noticed that adding an addon domain would result in a redirection to searchportal.information.com whenever I accessed that domain's name. This would eventually fade away (minutes, hours) but it was a different (new) behaviour from what I was used to with them. Before domains worked instantly when added as addons, not they don't! My mildlywildly popular eHttpClient class no longer available on my old blog has evolved. It changed into elHttpClient, an all new toy for the fellow blackhats and php coders. eHttpClient is the one-stop solution for web downloading combining the power of cURL with PHP to provide a dead easy solution for your web downloading (scraping) needs. With basic knowledge you can do anything in terms of downloading web content.
This class has been by far my most popular share and brought in most feedback. I've looked into the feedback trying to make things even easier and this was born. Oh wtf ... the truth is I've written this for myself and decided to share it! I didn't care about no feedback. Read the rest of this entry »
I made some cool plugins to play with comments, avatars and so on. But I noticed a tiny inconvenience. Wordpress doesn't assign an user_id to comments if users are not logged in but email addresses match those of registered users. So if imaginary[at]e.mail is a registered user but is not logged in and places a comment using this very email, the comment will not be assigned to an user. Read the rest of this entry »
I finished a plugin which I'll publish in a few days, after I sanitize it a bit, that makes links dofollow for commenters that are registered subscribers. Look at the comment form to see the registration link and details. You'll see some funny numbers next to comment authors also. Move the mouse over to see what they mean. Read the rest of this entry »
I will recommend you two books here. Two books I own and are great help for writing copy for the naive and are especially helpful for the non-English speakers. I've had some luck with good copy I've written lately and I used these books to find some catchy phrases that can play with the prospect's mind. Read the rest of this entry »
